Yeti Loves Seamonster was born from a forum post on Etsy.com. Beth wrote, "Yetis and Seamonsters need to stick together." Tina thought, "Yes, they sure do" and asked Beth (who she had only met once) to be her partner on a website that would highlight only the coolest handmade goods for kids.

We invited other Etsy shop owners to participate in our project as connoisseurs of quirk. We heart monsters and colors and fun. We just say no to couture and corporate characters. No more making little kids look old, making little girls look like tarts, and making little boys look like blueberries.

Each week, we will spotlight new, super cool stuff that is handmade for your rad kids. The YLS blog will take a look at the process of our designers, recommend other neat stuff, and share the earliest memories of our readers. The downloads page is full of amazing coloring book pages that you can print for free, easy-to-follow tutorials, and recipes.

And don't forget, Seamonsters love Yetis too!

Founding Members:

Tina Seamonster

Tina Seamonster is a work at home mom to twin two-year-olds. She silk screens shirts and cards in small batches at her kitchen table with a Print Gocco. She is inspired by her life as an urban mom in the heart of Washington, DC. Her designs are mostly about overcoming fears (of zombies, etc!), dealing with stress and living life with humor above all else. Tina has many projects, including the long running blog, I Like Seamonsters, brand new podcast Television Zombies, guest blogger at the Crafty Bastards blog and member of the Craft Mutiny. Tina wishes she believed in ghosts or the moon landing. Either would make her life easier.

Lemon Cadet

Beth of Lemon Cadet lives in Morgantown, WV and is mom to two fur children, Groucho and Sasha (a.k.a. Senior and Chunka). She stitches up her furry yetis and bean guys with an old-school Huskystar in the spare room in her house that she and her husband (well, mostly her husband) recently turned into a fabulous studio that she shares with the Omelet King’s Couch. Her colorful designs are inspired by vintage fabrics, the reality TV shows she watches in the Fall, and words that sound nice. Along with the full-time job of being a somewhat healthy vegetarian, Beth teaches Technical Writing at the nation’s number 1 party school. Beth is a proud member of the Pittsburgh Craft Mafia.
